I have about 20 challenge coins that I bought at auction on eBay. It’s been quite the challenge to get information on some of these coins, which is cool. It just makes it more fun. This challenge coin is one of them, and you’re gonna see just how exciting buying a lot of challenge coins at auction can be. The challenge coin has the 62D logistics group banner on it. Researching this out we find that the 62D airlift wing at joint base Lewis – McCord does not currently have a standalone 62D logistics group. It was divided in the two separate groups. Hopefully this will help to pinpoint the age of this coin.. Oh a cool fact, that one of the groups that now is happens to be the aircraft maintenance squadron and aerial port squadron to support the wings. C – 17 globe master III. With a little more research we find that this particular group was active from December 1, 1991 to October 1, 2002.
