Miami-Dade Police Public Information & Education Bureau

The Miami-Dade Police Department Public Information and Education Bureau (PIEB) strives to promote cooperation, education, and enhance communication between the Police Department, the citizens of Miami-Dade County, and the news media. The goal of PIEB is to improve overall communication through education, awareness, and involvement in programs that impact the community. PIEB achieves its goal through its three main sections, the Operations Support Section, the Community and Youth Outreach Section, and the Media Relations Section. The coin features the Miami-Dade Police Department badge on the obverse with patriotic American flag and thin blue line imagery, and the reverse displays a School & Youth Safety Unit emblem with an eagle, shield, and open book symbolizing protection and education.
