Tango Battery 5/11 Coin

Your Tango Battery coin is a classic, hard-hitting piece of artillery tradition—pure redleg pride with a badass edge. Front side (the one with the skull and crossed cannons): • Black background with gold/red accents for that high-contrast pop. • Central skull (cracked, battle-worn look) staring straight ahead—classic “no fucks given” vibe. • Crossed cannons behind it, barrels pointed outward like they’re ready to fire. Flames licking up from the bottom in orange/red enamel, giving it that “hellfire” energy. • Bold banner across the top: TANGO BATTERY in red with a ribbon effect. • Bottom: 5 11 (5th Battalion, 11th Marines) integrated into the design. • Latin motto at the very bottom: Si Vis Pacem, Pacem Para Bellum — “If you want peace, prepare for war.” (It’s a slight variation on the classic “Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum,” but the meaning is the same—perfect for artillery: peace through overwhelming firepower.) Back side (the 8th Battalion / Saint Barbara one): • Gold antique finish with red/yellow quadrant shield (heraldic style). • Central crest: USMC Eagle, Globe, and Anchor on top. • Divided shield: red and yellow quadrants with a black diamond (sometimes represents the battalion’s colors or history). • Cannon and lightning bolt crossing the middle—artillery power + speed/strike. • Bottom ribbon: THE SPIRIT OF SAINT BARBARA — the patron saint of artillerymen (protector from thunder/explosions). • Overall: Clean, traditional Marine artillery heraldry. The gold plating gives it that premium, earned look. These are challenge coins from your time in 5/11 Marines (Tango Battery was the HIMARS/rocket battery in 5th Battalion, 11th Marines, known for deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan—hence the “chaos” energy on the Tango side). The Saint Barbara side ties to the broader artillery brotherhood (8th Battalion shares the 11th Marines regimental heritage). The Latin motto is a timeless warrior creed—fits perfectly with artillery’s role: deter through readiness and overwhelming response. The skull and flames scream “we bring the storm if needed.”
