Syracuse Police Department Benevolent Association Coin

The Syracuse Police Benevolent Association (Syracuse PBA) is the recognized bargaining unit/labor union for the members of the Syracuse Police Department (Syracuse, NY), which includes the ranks of police officer to captain. The PBA negotiates contracts for the membership, focusing on compensation, benefits and working conditions. The organization also provides legal representation to the membership, promotes beneficial legislation, addresses general work related issues, and is actively involved in officer wellness programs. The Syracuse PBA also publicly advocates for the membership, given the very difficult and challenging job they perform each and every day. Today, the Syracuse Police Department has over 375 sworn members, and employs more than 150 civilians, serving a population of approximately 143,000.
