NYPD Organized Crime Control Bureau Narcotics Manhattan North

The NYPD’s Organized Crime Control Bureau (OCCB) was a specialized unit, active from 1971 to 2016, dedicated to investigating mob activity, prostitution, and illegal firearms, often employing RICO statutes. It was reorganized into other investigative divisions, with tasks like Criminal Enterprise Investigations now handling long-term probes against gangs and criminal syndicates, targeting narcotics, and handling large-scale smuggling. The obverse features the NYPD shield and eagle emblem with American flags and stars on a blue background, while the reverse displays a silhouette of a narcotics officer against a Manhattan North skyline with buildings and stars.
